What is CNC machining?

CNC is the abbreviation of Computer Numerical Control, CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing technology, Variety of cutting tools are used to remove material from a solid block or workpiece to creat the CNC machining parts

This is a quite different manufacturing way compared to additive or formative technologies. The material removal mechanisms have significant implications on the benefits, limitations and design restrictions of CNC.

CNC machining is a digital manufacturing technology, it produces high accuracy parts with excellent physical properties directly from a CAD file. Due to the high level of automation, CNC is cost-competitive for both one-off custom parts and low or medium-volume productions.

A lot of material can be CNC machined, such as stainless steel, steel, aluminum, brass, alloy, plastic, etc.

There are 3 steps of the CNC basic steps. Firstly, CAD of the part is designed by engineer, then the machinist turns the CAD file into a CNC program and sets up the CNC machine. Finally, the CNC system executes all machining operations with less supervision, removing material and creating the part.

TONY CNC machining center are equipped with CNC lathe, Milling Machine, Drilling Machine, Tapping Machine, Grinding Machine, and with surface treatment of electroplate, chromeplate, nickelplating, oxidation white/blue/black/red, etc. to meet different requirement.
